One Spaniard Down Already (partly…)

12 Mar

So my T.V. Coverage of Indian Wells hasn’t even started yet and already Feliciano is out of the singles 😦 But I have just read that he is playing doubles today with… wait for it… Milos Raonic (?! – I can’t be the only one who finds that a little surprising/odd/confusing, can I?). Anyways they’ll play the Bryans around 9pm tonight (5am Sunday in the UK) on Stadium 3.

David, Rafa and Fernando are also in singles action today. Rafa will face Russian qualifier, Rik de Voest around 5pm (1am Sunday in the UK) on Stadium 1. Also, Rafa & Marc Lopez won their doubles match against, Fyrstenberg & Matkowski yesterday. Fernando will face wild card, Richard Berankis on Stadium 2 at 11am today (7pm tonight in the UK). And last but definitely not least, David will face Croatin, Ivo Karlovic on Stadium 3 at around 1pm (9pm tonight in the UK).

VAMOS CHICOS!

Third Rubber: Fer & Feli vs. Darcis & Rochus

12 Mar

Better late than never I guess… sorry guys 😦 Anyways Feli and Fer won as I’m sure you are all aware by now. They won 7-6, 6-4, 6-3. In the dead rubbers (best of 3 sets & sadly no pics) Rafa won against Rochus 6-4, 6-2 and Feli lost 7-6, 6-7, 6-7. Spain will face the USA away from home in the quarters. Well Done Chicos!!

It’s Davis Cup Time!!

Well as I promised here are the Davis pics. I will start with the team pics and some also of Capi Costa because someone requested him 🙂 Enjoy!

Feliciano Lopez rompió mi corazón

2 Feb

Feliciano Lopez has broken my little heart and the heart of my blog too. For those of you who don’t already know, Feli “unfollowed” me on twitter which sucks badly 😦 And to be perfectly honest I don’t really want to be on here posting about him so give me some time and I will try to get back to blogging but I can’t make any promises. Let’s face it a blog about the Armada which didn’t include him would be ridiculous.

And to those who sent me such charming emails as “get a life”, “grow up” and “you are a bitch & your blog sucks”, all I can say is it’s my life and i’m not asking you to live it, it’s my blog and nobody is making you read it!!

And finally A HUGE THANK-YOU to everyone who has sent me lovely supportive messages, especially my Kitty Kat, love you girl!

Day 6 Australian Open Results!

22 Jan

So yesterday/this morning I managed to see the doubles match, Guillermo and David’s match. Sadly I didn’t see Rafa’s match 😦 The most entertaining match has to go to Feli/Pico. Talk about drama!! There was a fair few body serves exchanged as well as some heated words but the best thing was lots of Felicious smiles 🙂 So David’s match was a straight forward one, he won in straight sets with a very strong and convincing performance. And Lastly Guillermo just never seemed to get going. The second point of the match he won with a ‘tweener’ and then from there it all seemed to go wrong but Andy Murray was in amazing form.

The results in full:

Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP)  lost to.  Andy Murray (GBR)

1-6, 1-6, 2-6

***

Rafael Nadal (ESP)  def.  Bernard Tomic (AUS)

6-2, 7-5, 6-3

***

Richard Berankis (LTU)  lost to.  David Ferrer (ESP)

2-6, 2-6, 1-6

***

Feliciano Lopez (ESP)/Juan Monaco (ARG)  vs.  Mahesh Bhupati (IND)/Leander Paes (IND)

Good Luck in the next round or future tournaments chicos!!

What Does the Prettiest Tenista Do On His Day Off?

21 Jan

He visits the Player’s Beauty Bar, obviously! 🙂 During his free day before his round two match Feliciano Lopez popped into the Player’s Beauty Bar at Melbourne Park. But of course the gorgeous Feli couldn’t leave without getting any treatments so he very kindly sat his perfect little butt down in a chair and got his stubble shaved. As well as making sure he stayed super pretty this also allows me to share these cute/funny/kinda hot photos with you!

Please never change Feli! Love you just the way you are!

Day 4 Australian Open Pictures!

Here are the pictures from Day 4 of the Australian Open. Enjoy!

Day 4 Australian Open Results!

21 Jan

Well yet another day is over and I stayed up lastnight to watch three matches, Rafa, Feliciano and David. We lost two Spaniards yesterday Feli and Pere Riba. Rafa’s match was again a bit of a let down, Ryan Sweeting really no match for the world number one. In Feliciano’s match it was a bit of a rollercoaster. Both having their spells of good play (Both losing a 3-0 lead in the first and second sets respectively). Feli played some great points but it just wasn’t to be his day unfortunately. And the last match I saw was David Ferrer’s who put in a dominating perfomance. I think he is amazing form so far this Australian Open. So here are the results in full:

Rafael Nadal (ESP)  def.  Ryan Sweeting (USA)

6-2, 6-1, 6-1

***

Bernard Tomic (AUS)  def.  Feliciano Lopez (ESP)

7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3), 6-3

***

Michael Russell (USA)  lost to.  David Ferrer (ESP)

0-6, 1-6, 5-7

***

Jurgen Melzer (AUT)  def.  Pere Riba (ESP)

6-2, 6-4, 6-2

***

Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP)  def.  Eduardo Schwank (ARG)

6-4, 7-6 (10-8), 6-1

***

Well Done boys & Good Luck to Feli & Pere in their next tournaments!!
